I have the joy to announce the piece "Bane" featured in BSOA Members show "Curves". The exhibition focuses around the theme of curves, allowing artists to explore the theme how they seem fit. The exhibition is also a juried show. "A panel of qualified jurors with expertise in visual arts will review all submissions based on artistic merit, interpretation of the theme, and overall quality."
"Bane" features both an inkwork and sculpture. The ink work focuses on the torso of a skeleton, whereas the sculpture depicts a large snake-like creature. When put together the artwork aims to capture the large snake wrapping in and out of the wall, capturing the skeleton in its body. The work builds on the theme of curves with references to the human and snake bodies.
“Bane” was also selected as one of the “Best in Show” by the exhibition Jurors.
